St. Galgano’s Abbey

I have started an analysis of St. Galgano's Abbey in Italy. It was the location for one of Tarkovsky's most famous shots in the film Nostaghia. I will do a shot/architectural analysis of the space where cinematic history was created.

Nostalghia.com is meant as a tribute to Andrei Tarkovsky, arguably one of the most significant filmmakers of the 20th century. This non-commercial site is aimed at Andrei Tarkovsky scholars and other interested parties.

The Project Continues

I am currently working on the preliminary presentation of this project for October 18, 2006. The presentation will outline the film/architecture project and cover some of the film research I have been doing.
